Board Member Vacancy

 

Location: Birmingham

Remuneration: £2,500

 

We welcome applicants with the following knowledge and experience:

 

  • Extensive knowledge of the social housing sector and supporting from a strategic level
  • Strategic Housing Management
  • Asset Management
  • Legal knowledge
  • Information and Digital technologies including Cyber Security
  • Risk Management

 

Individuals must have prior board/committee /director level experience in the public and not for profit sector.  And can commit to approximately 4 board meeting, and 2 away board sessions annually. Successful candidates will be nominated to serve on the Operations, Audit and Risk committees.

 

It is important for Nehemiah to have a diverse board and one that reflects the communities that we serve.

Nehemiah is a BAME (Black Asian Minority Ethnic) Housing Association providing affordable housing for a mixed clientele in six local authority areas of the West Midlands

 

We are seeking 2 Scheme Managers who will:

 

  • manage the scheme, and to provide support to Customers to enable them to live independently with support, in a safe and secure environment. To manage volunteers. To act as a link for Customers with statutory and voluntary organisations.
  • assist the Senior Supported Housing Officer to organise and deliver the Customer Framework and required outcomes including working with various groups and providing support for meetings and events
  • be innovative with the ability to work on own initiative
  • communicate with excellence
  • have a proactive approach to problem solving
  • have a current driving licence and access to vehicle
  • be committed to equal opportunities
  • work with flexibility including unsociable hours
